Psoriasis Calc is a practical and complete tool for any doctor who deals with psoriasis patients (dermatologists, rheumatologists, general practitioners, etc.).

Psoriasis Calc:

· Facilitates the use of severity scales in psoriasis.

· It takes advantage of the simplicity and the speed provided by smartphones to allow the user to introduce the needed data.

· Provides information to the physician to determine the existing comorbilities in psoriatic patients.

Texts are presented in both, English and Spanish.

This application includes the following calculators:

* BSA: The percentage of skin surface affected by psoriasis. The calculation is performed for each affected part of the body, by direct estimation or using the rule of the palm (1 patient palm, including palm and fingers represents 1% of his/her body surface).

* PASI: This is a classic scale assessment of the severity of psoriasis developed in 1978. Its values range from 0 to 72. The severity calculation is performed separately: the head including neck, trunk, the upper limbs and lower limbs including the buttocks. It includes the automatic calculation of PASI 50, PASI 75 and PASI 90, useful to define the treatment end point and efficacy.

* NAPSI: The signs of psoriasis disease in the nail bed and/or nail matrix are easily registered in a four quadrant scheme of each nail. PsoriasisCalc calculates the NAPSI index.

* COMORBIDITIES: This functionality is designed to facilitate the detection of the most common comorbidities of patients with psoriasis. It is based on the study performed by the Spanish Group for the Study of Psoriasis which, after conducting an exhaustive synthesis of the literature so far, proposed a practical decisión algorithm. It will be to the discretion of the physician the interpretation of the conclusions provided by PsoriasisCalc, based on each particular patient clinical context.

No allusion is made to drug treatments, which are the sole decision of the practitioner in charge.
